About us

Our Association was founded in Spring 2010 and was registered on 4th September the same year. The tax number is 18139417-1-43.

Our primary aim is to support our members in their endeavours to develop, treat and educate people from the young to the very old and to carry out research through bibliotherapy.

Main aims

1. Make bibliotherapy and its therapeutic potential known and recognized in a wider circle with the help of events for kids, juveniles and grown-ups.
2. Publish materials such as case studies and research in relation to bibliotherapy to increase the available Hungarian professional literature.
3. Advance equal opportunities and life-long learning for the underprivileged by promoting reading and utilizing the potential of literary texts.

The association was founded on the basis of our shared experiences and our common aims to use bibliotherapy in all walks of life. In 2009 seven of our founding members completed a bibliotherapy course in Pazmany Peter Catholic University. The joys as well as the demands of university, our clinical practice in Peterfy Sandor Hospital for Crisis intervention and Psychiatry, and the unforgettable self-awareness sessions brought us closer together.
